It’s winter, and we’ve been spending a lot of time indoors with our families. Who’s up for a parents’ night out? The PTA of AEA is considering hosting a fundraiser at Painting With a Twist on Metropolitan Avenue. We would need a minimum number of participants to make the event a success. Queens Borough President Melinda Katz will have representatives from the School Construction Authority at her next Parent Advisory Board meeting at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 30. They will discuss the five-year capital plan. She will also host representatives from the DOE’s division of Family and Community Engagement to discuss getting involved in the district Community Education Council.
