District 28 Diversity Process Updates
On Thursday 12/5, WXY Studios who was hired by the DOE to facilitate the diversity process presented their anticipated process plan to the Community Education Council (CEC). Many parents came to share their fears, concerns and frustrations with DOE, WXY and the suggested process. Due to overcapacity, many had to be turned away.
Here is a summary of WXY’s presentation to the CEC:

There will be 4 major workshops for public engagement organized by WXY and the Diversity Working Group starting in January 2020 and ending in May/June when recommendations are presented. Parents will be able to voice their ideas/suggestions/concerns at any of those 4 workshops. In addition, smaller meetings will be held for hard-to-reach groups. Feel free to contact WXV directly at the email address provided below if you want to make your voice heard.
