Since Friday, some of our pre-k families (and, by extension, all of us) have been in crisis mode because Wingspan can no longer offer after-school care to pre-k students. We are so sorry that this happened and we are looking for possibilities to get after-school care for our youngest ones asap. There are about 13 children who are in urgent need of after-school care starting on Monday, February 24, after the school break. It would be wonderful for us to come together as a community and help each other out. If you have any leads for after-care programs, available babysitters or other ideas and suggestions, please reach out to the PTA so we can share this with our pre-k parents (303pta@gmail.com).
We also want to say thank you to all families who participated in the Double Good Popcorn Fundraiser and who reached out to their family, friends and co-workers. We have already received some pretty big orders! Thank you so much!!! The last day to submit your order is Monday 2/10. If you need a little bit more time please contact Rebekah to give her heads up. Please remember to send in a check payable to the PTA of AEA instead of cash. Depending on the size of your order, it will either be sent home with your child or we will arrange a pick up time with you (for large orders). Learning from our past experience with the pie fundraiser, we will make sure to accommodate the schedule of working parents.

Our Miss Chocolate Sale got an early send off accidentally. Sorry for bombarding you with our fundraisers! The good news is that it will give you a little bit more time to share with your family, friends and co-workers. They have kosher chocolates that are delicious. A few of the non-kosher sample treats will be available to taste at our next PTA meeting.
……..which just happens to be this Thursday February 13. Please come and join us! We have a lot on our agenda! We will be forming two committees – officer nominations and by-laws. Both flyers have been sent home asking for volunteers – Please consider participating (so far only one parent volunteered to be on the by-laws committee. We need more of you!!!) This month’s raffle prizes will be two beautiful Boon Supply Bags containing some treats.
