We hope all our AEA families are having a relaxed, safe, and fun-filled summer, and we are looking forward to a new school year. School opens for students on Monday, Sept. 13. The full 2021-22 calendar is here. Our first PTA meeting will be Thursday, Sept. 23, with Zoom details to come.
Last week, the DOE put out a health and safety handbook for parents. If you’d like more information about our schools and pandemic safety, the chancellor’s office is holding a series of virtual forums. The Queens event is Wednesday, Sept. 1, from 8 to 9:30 p.m. You can register and learn more here. The full flier is below.

For the PTA, we are pleased to announce our newest way to stay informed: our Instagram account! We are @aea303pta – and we look forward to connecting. This account will allow us promote activities in a place you might already visit daily (or more). We will respect students’ privacy, and not post any photos or identifying information. Thanks to Jenny Verdon for her work on this, and we welcome your suggestions to make it even better. We will continue to use our private Facebook group as a way for our members to connect. And if you’re not into social media, we will keep posting information to our website and our email list. The Remind platform for sending push notifications to your phone needs some work, so please be patient.
