This Thursday, Dec. 6, is the FINAL DEADLINE for the PTA’s Shop With Scrip program. An extra copy of the form should have been in your student’s folder on Monday. There are 100+ businesses on this form. You pay only the face value of the gift card, and our PTA gets the percentage noted as part of this easy fundraiser. Orders submitted directly to the PTA are payable only by check, made out to: PTA of AEA.

If you want a retake of your student’s Stomping Ground photo, you must fill out this form by Thursday as well. The pictures will take place next Wednesday, Dec. 12. More information about retake proofs and orders is at that link.
Thursday is also this month’s District 28 Community Education Council meeting. You can find the agenda on the CEC’s public Facebook page. The director of district planning and a representative of the School Construction Authority are expected to be there to discuss enrollment, building use and plans for new construction. The CEC meets at 6:30 p.m. at 90-27 Sutphin Blvd.
At 8:30 a.m. next Monday, Dec. 10, AEA will host an open house for families of prospective kindergarten students for 2019-20. The administration is seeking volunteers to help lead tours. Please contact Mrs. Gallo if you are able to volunteer at Sgallo@schools.nyc.gov. This will be the only open house for kindergarten admissions. It appears the event is full at this time.
On Thursday, Dec. 13, there will be an open house for prospective pre-K families. There is no signup for attendees.
