Tomorrow (Wednesday!) is the Harvest Parade, bringing kids in costumes to the sidewalks around PS 303. It also means delicious treats for breakfast, thanks to the bakers (and buyers) in our school community.
The parade starts at 8:45 a.m., but plan on joining the PTA immediately after drop-off for our annual bake sale. Coffee will be provided by Starbucks — and thank you to Starbucks and Maria Scoloveno for that! It’s a great chance to mingle with other AEA families. See you there.
(A friendly reminder: Please leave any weapons that are part of students’ costumes at home, and be aware of any tripping hazards. Face paint is welcome.)
Also on the calendar this week, the District 28 CEC meets 6:30 p.m. Thursday at 90-27 Sutphin Boulevard. The agenda includes discussion of the middle school application process and a presentation on magnet programs.
If you have any big purchases planned for Amazon.com, this is a good week to make them! The company is donating 5% of every purchase made as part of its Smile program — but only until Friday!
If your child borrowed clothing from Nurse Yana, can you please be sure to wash and return the items? That way they will be available for other children and other emergencies. Thanks!
