This Week From PTA of AEA: Open House!

There are two big opportunities this week to visit PS 303.

  • Monday, Sept. 17, is Meet the Teacher Night. There will be two sessions, 4:30 p.m. and 6 p.m., so families with more than one child can go to both classrooms. For a preview, the teacher biographies have been updated on the school website. Check them out! We’ll also have a PTA table set up a half-hour before each session, with spirit items for sale. Come see us then!
  • Thursday, Sept. 20, is our first PTA meeting of the new school year. Join us in the café at 7 p.m. Babysitting will be available. We’ll have updates on programs and fundraisers planned for this year. You can find the full version of the PTA calendar here.

School is closed Wednesday, Sept. 19, for Yom Kippur.

In case you missed the notice in all the back-to-school paperwork, the AEA Family Handbook is online this year. You can find the PDF here.

If you are interested in volunteering for recess activities, please email Vanessa Jacob at v.jacobaeavolunteer@gmail.com for details and the sign-up form.

A note to drivers, from the PS303Q administration: Please obey all posted traffic signs, and don’t park in the “no standing” zone in front of the school, during drop-off and pick-up. That zone is needed for buses. Double-parking blocks other cars and trucks trying to use 69th Avenue, and creates a safety issue for all our students.
