Is your hand cramped yet from filling out all the back-to-school forms? Have you put off the emergency contact blue cards out of dread? Not to fear! The PTA has confirmed that PS303Q will accept blue cards that are printed using an official NYCDOE pdf form commonly available. Not only is it easier to hit “Print” three times, but the typed cards may be more legible than some of our handwriting, in case of an emergency.
One example form is here. (Our experts recommend crossing out the year and printing at 65% size to match the blue card.) These forms can be printed, cut and glued directly to the blue card.
Please keep in mind:
1. All emergency cards must remain the same size and paper weight of the school-issued blue cards.
2. Another acceptable option is to print this form on blue cardstock paper and skip the step of gluing.
3. The PS303Q administration has final say as to whether the card is acceptable.
On the topic of forms, have you filled out the school lunch form yet? Although breakfast and lunch are free to all students, AEA still needs every family to fill out the income form available at the MySchoolApps site. It helps determine school funding.
Calendar notes:

- The School Leadership Team is scheduled to meet Wednesday, Sept. 12, at 7:30 a.m. Wednesday is also the due date for many tear-off forms from the welcome folder.
- The New York primary elections for state and local offices are Thursday, Sept. 13. (Not directly school related, but this is why meet-the-teacher night and the first PTA meeting aren’t on their usual schedule.)
