This Week: Picture Day Starts!

AEA Families,

This has been a difficult week with heavy news for so many of us. We hope that you and your family are doing ok.  Please make sure to take good care of yourself. As a school community, let’s check in on each other and be in solidarity with one another.  Please see below for all the upcoming events happening both in our school and the general community.

Picture Day Starts this Week!
Hope everyone’s got their kid’s hair and outfits ready! Picture Day with Stomping Ground starts this Tues, April 20. We recommend your child(ren) not wear white as they will be using a white background for the shoot. Please see the email sent by the administration for additional details. Let us know if you have not received notification or if you have other questions, thanks!

Teacher Appreciation Week
Please join us in thanking our teachers during this year’s Teacher Appreciation Week (May 3-7). They have been going above and beyond in the virtual and in-person learning space so let’s show them how much we appreciate them! We will be gifting goodie bags to our teachers and support staff and ask our school community to help donate items. You can find a list of items here. We will collect the items on Tuesday, April 20 and Tuesday, April 27 (same as Picture Days). Please drop off your donation on the cart located at the corner entrance of 110th St and 69th Avenue. For more details, see here.

Aigner Chocolates Fundraiser: April 26-30
Our Aigner Chocolates fundraiser starts in just one more week!  In the spirit of Willy Wonka, we are having a Golden Ticket chocolate bar fundraiser where 20% of our sales goes back to the school for future enrichment programs. Just visit the store during the week of April 26 and ask for the AEA fundraiser chocolate bar and see if you get the special golden ticket inside!

There will be 1 golden ticket chocolate bar sold each day that week, and the lucky winner gets the prize for the day! All prizes are $50 gift cards to support local businesses in our district. While the golden ticket bars are only sold in stores, you can also participate by purchasing other chocolate goodies online. Just note in the coupon code: “AEA Fundraiser (Child’s full name).” The top 2 families with the most online sales for the week gets prizes as well! Please see the flyer for more details, how to participate and the list of prizes.

Story Time with Ms. Weissbach

It will be geared towards students in grades Pre-K, Kindergarten and 1st grade, however all students from AEA are welcome to join!

Racial Equity Event on Wed, April 28
